Elastography in the evaluation of TIRADS 2 thyroid lesions

Purpose: Lesions of the thyroid that are classified TIRADS 2 by ultrasound (US) are considered benign. In this prospective study, the elastographic pattern of these thyroid lesions are evaluated. Material and methods: In 1000 thyroid US with one or more nodules, 445 lesions were classified as TIRADS 2. These lesions were additionally examined with real-time elastography (ELS).
