Background: Comorbidities have a great impact on the development, progression and exacerbation of bronchial asthma. Objective: The present study aimed to systematically analyze the co-prevalence and the odds ratio (OR) of the comorbidities in the asthmatic population of the German federal states Saarland and Rhineland-Palatinate. Methods: Using ICD10 diagnoses code from health care institutions, the co-prevalence and odds ratios of comorbidities concerning bronchial asthma have been analyzed.
