Abstract Objective We aimed to examine both the expression levels of high mobility group box 1 (HMGB1) and vascular cell adhesion molecule-1 (VCAM-1) proteins in the placentas of pregnant women with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) and control groups by immunohistochemical (IHC) method.
