Summary The symptoms of “mixed congenital angiodysplasias” are described on the basis of nine cases seen by the authors. In most patients, there is malformation of the venous system, but arterial or lymphatic changes may be prominent The controversial terminology of the KLIPPEL-TRENAUNAY- WEBER syndrome is discussed; the significant feature is the presence of demonstrable A-V anastomoses. In addition to vascular changes and limited gigantism, polymorphous changes in bone structure may be demonstrable. The cause of this condition is discussed and problems of prognosis and therapy are touched upon.
