Introduction: Chronic hepatitis C causes significant morbidity and mortality in Germany. Cost estimates for antiviral therapy for chronic hepatitis C (CHC) often neglect dose reductions/discontinuations, clinical management algorithms, and future savings associated with the prevention of advanced liver disease.
