Zusammenfassung

Purpose: We evaluated percutaneous drainage under ultrasonographic guidance (US-PD) in the treatment of pelvic abscesses (PA). Methods and Materials: We retrospectively reviewed the clinical and imaging records of 38 patients (four men, 34 women, aged 13–67-years) admitted to our Institution with a diagnosis of PA (20 post-surgical, seven associated with diverticulitis, two following an interventional procedure in the pelvis, and nine cryptogenic) and treated with US-PD.
