Aim: Infliximab (INX) has been used for the treatment of Crohn's disease (CD) in Hungary since 2000. The aim of the study was to summarize our observations on the effectivity of INX upon experiences of three gastroenterological centers. Patients and methods: 137 patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) were treated during that period of time. Among patients 137with Crohn's disease and with 5 ulcerative colitis (UC) were diagnosed. The female/male ratio was 74/63, the mean age 36 years (17–72), and mean duration of the disease 8.6 years.
