Neuropathological Reference Centre for Epilepsy Surgery: update 2006

For more than 10 years, many neuroscience centres in Germany established surgical strategies for the treatment of focal, refractory epilepsies. According to our estimation, major centers in Germany (i.e. Aachen, Berlin, Bielefeld-Bethel, Bonn, Erlangen, Freiburg/Kehl-Kork, Greifswald, Marburg, Munich, Ulm, Vogtareuth,) have already carried out a total of 5,000 operations.
