Research of a transplanted thyroid gland

In the Russian Research Centre of Surgery the original technique of transplantation of trachea with the restored blood circulation is developed and introduced to clinical practice. Necessity of development and performance of the given operation has arisen during the decision of a problem of surgical treatment long stenos of a trachea which demand extensive resections. The trachea has no own large arteries and veins. The significant role in blood supply of trachea play vascular branches from a thyroid gland.
